Andy Sarapas is a lawyer devenu yogi and yoga teacher who believes peace and well-being are rooted in self-care, and made available through a regular mindful yoga practice, adherence to yogic principles and inclusiveness in a supportive community or sangha.
Andy hopes his mindful slow vinyasa classes might help others feel some sense of peace all while slowly improving their physical strength and mental and spiritual clarity and well-being.
Andy completed his 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings at Sundara in Brunswick, Maine, a Yoga Alliance certified school. He is certified as a yoga teacher by American Yoga Council with CYT-L1 and CYT-L2 credentials.
In this class, we are invited to simply let go. Through sound and slow, rhythmic breathing, we begin by finding our center and gently returning to the present moment—that wonderful moment where our inner strength resides.
This is our “interior mountain”: steady, grounded, and always available to support us whenever we call upon it.
We start with seated, grounding meditation and breathwork to find stillness. From there, we gradually build into gentle, mindful movement, guided and supported by the body itself.
Throughout the practice, we return again and again to the breath and the resonance of sound.
We will close feeling more connected to a strong physical, emotional, and spiritual core. A place that allows both surrender and stability, where we are supported from all directions while knowing that our “interior mountain” remains rooted firmly on the earth, always present.
All levels of experience are welcome!
